# Cohesix > Give agents bounded jobs, inspect shared resources and verify what actually happened. Cohesix coordinates permission, resource allocation and evidence across Mac, Linux and edge GPU hosts. The Queen runs in QEMU or on a Raspberry Pi 4; applications, GPU compute and model serving stay on their native hosts. **Host ecosystems:** CUDA, PEFT and NeMo Agent Toolkit on compatible Linux ARM64 NVIDIA hosts; MLX and configured vMLX clients on Apple Silicon Macs. ## Release and instruction identity [STATUS](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/STATUS.md) owns publication and component status: **1.2.0 is published**, and **28c1 governed Mac MLX release and vMLX rollout are complete for the selected Mac component** as of 25 September 2026. Use that recorded profile and evidence; older “planned 28c1” wording in some skills is stale. Local MLX work remains a separate, unadmitted observation. This is the [fixed 1.2.0 instruction edition](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/agent-guides-v1.2.0-r1/llms.txt). Its skills and operating references are pinned to commit **427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494**. The four newer skills were added after the binary release tag; this instruction edition does not qualify new runtime behavior. Load complete folders from this commit, including companion and sibling references. Resolve any repository branch link inside a loaded skill against this same commit. Installed help, selected manifests and bundled release contracts govern native execution. ## Check whether it fits Use Cohesix when scoped actions, shared resources, model changes or retained evidence matter. Standalone training and CUDA installation use native tools. Read the [use cases and prerequisites](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/USE_CASES.md) before recommending a workflow. External applications and sector qualification remain separate. A simulated result, admitted request, native execution and verified completion are distinct evidence. Check the installed profile's effective MCP/A2A controls before advertising agent access. ## Start safely First browse a simulated system with read-only inspection. A useful request is: “Show me the available resources and current work, explain where the data came from, and make no operational changes.” No GPU or running target is required. Load the [skill index](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/skills/INDEX.md), then only the required complete skill folders. Choose setup from the actual OS, architecture, accelerator, existing installation and intended workload. - [Inspect or simulate](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/skills/cohesix-inspect/SKILL.md): Read resources and scheduling; no GPU or running target is required. - [Choose a first result](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/skills/cohesix-get-started/SKILL.md): Match the user's hardware and goal to a checkable deliverable. - [Set up a host](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/skills/cohesix-ai-host-setup/SKILL.md): Reuse a verified .pkg, .deb or portable archive; tailor runtimes and optional QEMU to the environment. The index routes the remaining workflows: local MLX, CUDA workload authoring, MCP/A2A delegation, NeMo, edge recovery, GPU operations, model rollout, private adapter release, fleet operations and evidence. ## Recover a lost response Follow the original operation ID. If new-admission discovery disappears when standing scope is spent, use existing same-ID read/recovery authority. Never mint scope or replay the effect to retrieve its result. Keep uncertainty visible until the original operation and native evidence reconcile. ## Installation identity Verify the actual client's transport, private authentication and subject before using MCP/A2A. Match host tools, policies and guest assets to the installed release. Native packages install host tools; optional QEMU guests come from the matching portable archive. The historical 1.2.0 Mac package correction reused a receipt version. Its receipt cannot identify the fixed bytes. The corrected package SHA-256 is `475b9f77cb7a46d51e34a6e3e55796f6d7a747d2a68a40bc26c67bf6c4b022e2`; confirm it independently and verify the [Mac installer manifest](https://github.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/releases/download/v1.2.0/macos-installers.json). A distinct 1.2.1 installer release requires separate assembly and approval; this instruction update does not publish it. ## Operating references - [Release notes](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/releases/RELEASE_NOTES-1.2.0.md): Supported profiles and download choices. - [Host tools](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/HOST_TOOLS.md): Installation, connection ownership, credentials and command reference. - [Python support](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/PYTHON_SUPPORT.md): Explicit backends, generated contracts and typed operations. - [SwarmUI](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/SWARMUI.md): Desktop connections, job review and Local MLX. - [NeMo kit](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/integrations/nemo-agent-toolkit/README.md): Pinned clients, private settings and evaluation. - [Build Plan](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/BUILD_PLAN.md) and [Test Plan](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/TEST_PLAN.md): Scope and acceptance boundaries. - [Adoption evidence](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukeb-aidev/cohesix/427e696f8e94b20920a629b763602a0afed69494/docs/BUILD_PLAN.md#m27c-agent-adoption-validation): Recorded checks and limitations. ## Instruction hashes and validation coverage Confirm the source identity and hashes through a publisher you already trust; checksums delivered with untrusted instructions do not establish trust. These SHA-256 values cover the linked entry instructions. Load companion files and the other skills from the same immutable source commit. | Instruction | SHA-256 | | --- | --- | | INDEX.md | `51d115158a794aa8d69e3b5697646c178a4a12cafadbc840aee66c6b795673a2` | | cohesix-inspect/SKILL.md | `82d1a98192b6da00d6b1a2dfc31700ebbfa14d9ebe7eb0ad86f82334e8d2c8c4` | | cohesix-get-started/SKILL.md | `c60df3bb0de1faaeeebb14ef45a6fd5b35bfcd453e28a134909c20d527efe3c5` | | cohesix-ai-host-setup/SKILL.md | `24d334448bfdb4276a1645d59a40550f15fda6db7036a797e1dc8d5b7afb23eb` | The historical STATUS result covers nine operator skills. It does not cover the later get-started, MLX-workbench, workload-authoring and NeMo-workflows additions. A catalogue of thirteen instructions is not evidence of thirteen accepted native workflows.
